Michigan State football is the latest power four school to extend an offer to one of the top in-state quarterbacks in the 2028 class.
Grayson Thurston of Warren, Mich. announced on Tuesday that he’s picked up an offer from the Spartans. According to a social media post from Thurston, the offer from the Spartans came after he participated in Michigan State’s prospects camp on Tuesday.
Thurston is currently an unranked and unrated quarterback prospect in the 2028 class. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, and plays for Michigan high school powerhouse Warren De La Salle.
While Thurston may not be ranked or rated yet on 247Sports, he has picked up enough interest on the recruiting trail for us to know he’ll be one of the top in-state quarterbacks in the 2028 class. According to 247Sports, he is now up to nearly 10 offers, including from the likes of Michigan State, Cincinnati, Iowa, Minnesota, Bowling Green, UConn and Toledo.
Thurston is now one of a few known quarterback targets the Spartans have their eyes on for the 2028 class. We will need to continue to monitor his recruitment over the coming months to determine where he ranks on their board of quarterbacks for the class.
