Michigan State football has entered the mix on an Ohio prospect that has nearly 20 offers.
Josiah Pouncy of Cincinnati announced on Thursday that he’s picked up an offer from Michigan State. Pouncy posted on his social media X account to announce the offer from the Spartans, noting that safeties coach James Adams was the Michigan State staff member that extended him the offer.
Pouncy is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is listed as an athlete and plays for Taft.
Michigan State is one of nearly 20 schools to extend an offer to Pouncy, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Tennessee, Akron, Kent State, Marshall, Miami (OH), Toledo, USF and Western Michigan.
