The “Survivor” castaways were joined by billionaire YouTuber “MrBeast” on the latest episode of the reality TV series and he added a million-dollar twist to tribal council that paid off for player Rick Devens — and the eventual winner.
Devens, who has been a target of multiple votes this season, won himself immunity — and added $1 million to the winner’s prize — by flipping a coin at tribal council where he once again felt unsafe.
The episode began with a highly anticipated auction, in which each player was given $500 to bid with for food or comfort items, though some came with a twist. Aubry Bracco had to eat two giant slugs for a chance to enjoy chocolate chip cookies with Rizo Velovic. Jonathan Young ate a fried sea slug to reward Ozzy Lusth with a plate of fried chicken. All of the players received hand-written letters from loved ones.
Near the end of the auction, players were visited by a MrBeast, who carried a briefcase containing the “MrBeast Super Beware advantage.” At tribal council the “beware” was revealed as the coin flip safety attempt with a $1 million addition to the show’s prize.
Tiffany Ervin won individual immunity in a ball-balancing challenge, and at council, Devens quickly volunteered to flip a coin for safety by predicting which side would come up. If he was wrong, he went home and there would be no vote.
Devens was successful, which set off a scramble of conversation. In the end, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick was voted out, making her the fifth member of the jury.
Two “Billie Eilish boomerang Idols” remain in the hands of two castaways. Genevieve Mushaluk, who was voted off in episode 6, sent one to Velovic and the other to Lusth. Cirie Fields also still has an extra vote.

What was the ‘MrBeast Super Beware advantage’?
To further fan-driven chaos, the YouTuber and reality competition TV host, “MrBeast,” Jimmy Donaldson, offered an advantage via a classic coin toss for one player to flip at tribal council.
One side of the coin showed the “MrBeast” logo (heads) and the other showed torches representing “Survivor” (tails). One player is meant to be randomly selected or chosen as a volunteer. If the player flips the coin and correctly calls the side it lands on, they win immunity at tribal council, an immunity idol and one million dollars added to the prize money for the entire tribe.
However, if the coin is incorrectly called, the money stays the same and the player who flipped would be sent home.
Devens happily volunteered to flip the coin arguing he had nothing to lose, and his tribe agreed. Devens called heads and the coin landed correctly granting him immunity.
Who was voted off ‘Survivor’ last night?
With Devens no longer the easy target, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick received the majority of votes. In an attempt to save her spot, she played her “steal-a-vote advantage” from Devens and voted twice for Bracco.
