A southeast Michigan woman scored big in Final Jeopardy on Tuesday, May 5, and will return as the current “Jeopardy!” champion to seek her second win Wednesday, May 6.
Shannon Crisenberry, a data annotator from St. Clair, Michigan, will compete against Tristan Williams, a data scientist from Lincoln, Nebraska, and Lauren Black, a sales assistant from San Jose, California, according to Jeopardy.com.
Crisenberry unseated the previous champion on Tuesday by taking a narrow lead into Final Jeopardy, and then betting everything and doubling her money. Madeline Kaplan missed the final question and was second.
Crisenberry is the third Michigan player to appear on the show recently, following Grosse Pointe native and 31-game winner Jamie Ding, and Harsha Hebbale, a crash safety engineer, from Troy.
