Tucked away at the corner of Woodward and Canfield, the Whitney restaurant’s lush garden setting becomes a destination for special events each spring and summer.
The popular Thursday night Garden Parties music series returns next week with the Jill Jack Band on May 14. Order from the bar or food menu with seating starting at 4 p.m. and music following at 6 p.m. There is an added admission charge of $10 and seating is first-come, first-served. Upgrade to reserved VIP seating for a $20 cover charge.
Hear Jennifer Westwood & the Handsome Devils on May 21, followed by Tosha Owens and the Stable Dudes on May 28. Laura Rain and the Caesars are kicking off Labor Day weekend on Sept. 3. View the full Garden Party schedule at thewhitney.com/events-experiences.
While the Garden Parties have been going on at the Whitney for decades, the restaurant recently added a Sunday garden series.
The outdoor events are $79 per person for the feasts, which run 4-7 p.m. Cocktails and other drinks are available for purchase. The series kicks off June 14 with an American barbecue spread. There will be a summer seafood boil on June 28, July 19, Aug. 9 and 30.
