He chose the Wolverines, who offered him a scholarship on June 4, over Tennessee, Mississippi State, LSU and Ole Miss. Ford is rated four stars by 247Sports Composite and is ranked the 17th inebacker nationally and the No. 224 player overall.

Ford, before he chose the Block M hat among the five that were in front of him, said he was looking for a winning program and a good coaching staff and environment.

“They’ve got the No. 1 academic program,” Ford said when asked why he chose Michigan. “They’ve got the biggest stadium. They’ve got a good fan base.”

He is Michigan’s 19th commitment to the 2027 class.
