THREE RIVERS, MI — The Three Rivers Police Department said Sunday, March 8, first responder operations have shifted from immediate life and safety needs and securing compromised areas, to restoration and cleanup.
City crews and partner organizations will continue working to support impacted residents and businesses, restore services and assist with debris removal and site stabilization, officials said, as well as offer tips on what residents should know in the coming days and how to make damage reports.
Residents should continue to use caution around debris, damaged structures, downed lines and standing water. Any downed wires should be considered live and reported immediately.
Residents who see urgent hazards such as downed power lines or smell gas odors should call 911.
Anyone wishing to report damage or indicate food/other assistance needs should use the self-report survey link found at tinyurl.com/TRtornado2026.
Three Rivers City Hall officials said in a statement Sunday that residents who are ready to self-haul tree debris off their properties can take it to the public services’ back compost site at 1015 S. Lincoln Ave. Those using the service were asked to place tree debris at the existing brush pile and not other areas on the site. The compost site is for tree debris only, officials said, and not for building materials or trash.
Contractors may call public services at (269) 273-1845 for directions to an alternate service site.
