BATTLE CREEK – They represent the best boys basketball players in the area.
The annual All-Area team is made up of players from the non-city schools in the 23-district coverage area of the Enquirer.
Meet the 2026 Battle Creek Enquirer All-Area Boys Basketball Team, as nominated by area coaches and selected by the Battle Creek Enquirer:

Quincy Blair
Colon
New to the program this year, Quincy Blair helped Colon advance to the state quarterfinals in Division 4 as the Magi finished 22-5 overall. Showing the ability to score and get on the glass, Blair was second on the team in scoring at 18.1 points per game and led Colon with 7.1 rebounds, while adding 2.9 steals and 3.4 assists.
Zaiden Bramer
Olivet
One of the top outside shooters in the area, Zaiden Bramer was an impressive 44% from the 3-point line on the season and 88% from the free throw line. Earning all-conference honors, the senior led Olivet in scoring at 14.1 points per game with 67 made 3-pointers as the Eagles finished 16-8 overall.
Brock Butler
Homer
A returning starter as a senior, Brock Butler showed great leadership for Homer as the point guard and the coach on the floor. Showing the ability to penetrate and get to the free throw line, Butler led Homer in scoring with 15.1 points per game with 2.5 assists, shooting 47% from the floor as he helped the Trojans to a 9-15 overall record.
Nolan Chard
Union City
Nolan Chard was the top player on a young Union City team that went 6-17 on the year. Just a sophomore, Chard had 13.0 points per game with a team-high 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists, showcasing an impressive all-around game, earning honorable mention all-conference honors.
Clark Erwin
Marshall
Senior Clark Erwin had a standout season, helping Marshall to a share of the Interstate 8 Conference crown and a district championship, as the Redhawks went 19-5 overall. The second-year varsity player led Marshall with 15.1 points per game, shooting 31% from the 3-point line, while adding 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 steals from his small forward position, earning all-conference honors.
Giovanni Evans
Galesburg-Augusta
Playing as a sixth man a year ago, Giovanni Evans still earned Enquirer all-area honors due to his team-leading stats. As a junior, Evans became a full-time starter and improved on his numbers as he had 16.5 points pre game with 3.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 2.2 assists. Evans helped G-A to a 11-10 record overall.
Lincoln Fuller
Marshall
Senior Lincoln Fuller was a third-year varsity player and was second on the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game, shooting 35% from the 3-point line, while adding 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals from his forward position, earning all-conference honors. Fuller had a standout season, helping Marshall to a share of the Interstate 8 Conference crown and a district championship, as the Redhawks went 19-5 overall.
Aidan Lane
Athens
Aidan Lane was the center of what Athens wanted to do on offense as the 6-foot, 4-inch, 260-pound senior gave the Indians important size and a presence in the paint. Lane helped Athens to a 7-15 overall record as he finished with a team-high 14.6 points per game with 9.5 rebounds, which included eight double-doubles on the year. He also showed range by shooting 36% from the 3-point line with 49 makes.
Zeb Olson
Bronson
Senior Zeb Olson helped Bronson to a district championship as the Vikings went 12-13 overall. Earning all-league honors in the Big Eight, Olson had a team-high 11.4 points per game with 9.5 rebounds, adding 1.5 blocks a game, while shooting 57% from the floor.
Zac Pfennig
Gull Lake
A standout all-around athlete, Zac Pfennig took on a bigger role as a sophomore as Gull Lake fought through a 4-19 season. Pfennig bought good size to the court for the Blue Devils as he led the team in scoring at 10.2 points per game with 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.3 steals.
Nyle Sattler
Climax-Scotts
Part of a young, rebuilding roster, Nyle Sattler took a big step for Climax-Scotts with a sophomore season that saw the forward lead the team in scoring. Sattler finished with 13.5 points per game while ending second on the team in rebounds at 5.1 with 2.5 steals per game. Sattler and the Panthers finished with a spot in the district finals and were 7-15 overall.
Gavin Taylor
Coldwater
A second-year all-league pick as well as a repeat selection of the Enquirer all-area squad, Gavin Taylor had a standout senior season as he helped Coldwater to a 12-12 overall record. Taylor led the Cardinals from his point guard position as a three-level scorer as he averaged 11.1 points per game with 3.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
Matthew Waito
Marshall
Showcasing great hustle and providing leadership from his point guard position, junior Matthew Waito helped drive Marshall to a share of the Interstate 8 Conference crown and a district championship, as the Redhawks went 19-5 overall. Waito earned all-conference honors as he finished with 11.1 points per game with 3.1 assists as well as 2.1 steals.
Dalton Williams
Colon
Finishing his career as the all-time leader in points at the school, Dalton Williams had a big senior campaign as the Magi had an historic season, advancing to the state quarterfinals in Division 4. Colon finished 22-5 overall as Williams led the team in scoring at 22.6 points per game with 6.9 rebounds and 3.4 steals. Williams is a returning member of the Enquirer all-area team as well as a three-time all-league selection.
