Repair work on two M-48 overpasses over I-75 in Chippewa County will restart on July 20.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the $5 million project includes the overpass connecting M-129 to Mackinac Trail and the overpass near Rudyard. Both overpasses underwent construction in recent years and remaining work needs to be completed.
Traffic on I-75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and a 12-foot width restriction will be effect. M-48 will also have one lane of alternating traffic with a temporary traffic signal.
The work is expected to be finished by the end of October.
