Inland Lakes stars lead Daily Tribune's 2026 all-area girls track team

CHEBOYGAN — The Cheboygan-area track and field season saw the Inland Lakes girls capture a regional championship and a Ski Valley Conference crown.

While the Bulldogs were the biggest story of the 2026 girls track campaign, there were other athletes from around the area who performed impressively and had success in their respective events.

Led by I-L seniors Chloe Robinson and Kaylee Taglauer, the Daily Tribune’s 2026 area girls track and field co-athletes of the year, here’s a look at this year’s all-area track squad.

Chloe Robinson, Inland Lakes, Senior (Co-athlete of the year) – The top points scorer for the Bulldogs was a leg on a pair of I-L’s 4X100 and 4X400 relay teams that won regional titles and qualified for state. Robinson was strong in the field events as well, finishing third in the regional and Ski Valley in the shot put and high jump.

Kaylee Taglauer, Inland Lakes, Senior (Co-athlete of the year) – Perhaps the heart and soul of the Bulldogs, Taglauer was a leg on I-L’s regional title-winning 4X100, 4X200 and 4X400 relay teams that competed at the state finals. Individually, she earned third at regionals in the 400.

Estella Redding, Cheboygan, Sophomore – Had a strong sophomore season that saw her capture success in multiple sprinting events like the 200 and 400.

Audrey Redding, Cheboygan Sophomore – Whether it was in the sprints or field events, Redding had success for the Chiefs. In the high jump, she placed third in the Northern Shores finals.

Olivia Patrick, Cheboygan, Senior – Was one of Cheboygan’s top athletes again, having success in the pole vault and sprint relay events as well.

Faith Lehre, Inland Lakes, Junior – The Cheboygan area’s breakout sprinter was the Ski Valley champion in the 100, an event where she qualified for states with a runner-up finish at regionals. Lehre was a speedy leg on I-L’s 4X200 and 4X400 relay teams that earned regional titles and qualified for state.

Mary Myshock, Inland Lakes, Senior – The area’s top hurdler had a championship-winning spring once again, repeating as a regional champion in the 100 hurdles, while also being a leg in I-L’s 4X100 and 4X200 relay teams that finished first at regionals and qualified for state.

Josephine Furman, Inland Lakes, Freshman – It was a productive opening varsity campaign for Furman, who was a member of I-L’s regional champion 4X400 relay team. Furman finished second in the 1600 at the Ski Valley finals and claimed third in the 800 at regionals.

Lillyann Cooksey, Onaway, Senior – The Onaway senior star went out as a champion in her last season with the program, finishing first in the long jump at regionals and earning her first-ever trip to the state finals. Cooksey was also effective in the sprinting events, capturing third in the 200 at regionals.

Adalynn Hendershot, Pellston, Freshman – It was a state-qualifying campaign for Hendershot, who placed second in the long jump at regionals. Henderson also earned fourth in the 200 at regionals and fourth in the 400 at the Ski Valley finals.
