LANSING — Animal control officials were looking for information about a badly injured puppy found recently in the area of Miller and Pleasant Grove roads.

Ingham County Animal Control first posted a Facebook message about the four-month-old female canine on Monday, April 27, asking that anyone with information about her or her owners call the shelter at (517) 676-8370.

In a follow-up posting on Wednesday, April 28, the shelter said the dog has a badly broken leg and was being treated.

“She’s being closely monitored and kept as comfortable as possible while we determine next steps,” officials said.

The pup was expected to remain on stray hold for the next three days, they said.
