The update process for Cheboygan County’s Master Plan is well underway, and public input is encouraged.
According to the county’s website, the Master Plan update will “guide future land use, community development and resource protection across the county.” The plan is community-driven, and everyone from residents to business owners to community organizations are encouraged to participate.
Currently, a public survey is available that asks questions such as “What types of job opportunities do you think are lacking in Cheboygan County?” and “Do you think Cheboygan County should regulate renewable energy in its zoning ordinances?”
The questions cover a wide range of topics, including data centers, short-term rentals, transportation and more.
