Could things not be going smoothly for former Michigan State star wide receiver Nick Marsh at his new Big Ten school? That’s a conclusion some fans were jumping to on Thursday afternoon following a vague social media post.
Marsh posted an interesting cryptic message on his social media Instagram story on Thursday and of course it generated a lot of buzz among the Indiana and Michigan State fanbases. As you probably know by now, Marsh elected to transfer this offseason after two impressive years with the Spartans, and joined the defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers. On Thursday, Marsh posted a simple message that generated some reactions on social media: “Just Ridiculous.”

The post was super vague and it’s not clear what this frustrated comment could even be about. But as we know in the year of 2026, anytime a star athlete posts something vague and cryptic, then fans and media are going to instantly swarm. That was definitely the case here, including from Michigan State fans who flooded the replies.

Marsh is a super skilled wide receiver, with some even considering him a potential first round pick in next year’s NFL Draft. So I wouldn’t read too much into this simple vague social media post, but it’s interesting to see, nonetheless, and something that Michigan State fans at least enjoyed commenting on Thursday afternoon. You got to love college football and how even the littlest potential thing can get multiple fanbases up in arms — even when we don’t have a clue of what is actually going on…
