ONONDAGA TWP. — An Eaton Rapids man was killed when his side-by-side utility vehicle hit a deer and then a tree on Thursday, June 18, police said.
The incident happened about 9:47 p.m. on Gale Road, near Bellevue Road, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The UTV driver, 46, was headed north when he hit a deer, causing him to leave the road and hit a tree, sheriff’s officials said. Onondaga Twp. fire department and MMR Ambulance rendered aid, but the man died.
The man’s name was being withheld pending family notifications.
