The Bedford Township Lions Club has announced the winners of its annual scholarship awards program.
Each year, the club selects graduating Bedford High School seniors to receive their scholarships.
According to Laurie Althaus, club president, 21 seniors were awarded a $3,000 scholarship to help pay expenses at an accredited educational institution of their choice this year. A $1,000 legacy scholarship went to Gabriel Banzhof.
“Funds for these scholarships are raised through the annual White Cane Sale and through proceeds from the sale of items at the Lion’s Den Resale Shop in downtown Temperance,” Althaus said in a news release. “The scholarships recognize not only Bedford High School graduating seniors but are awarded in recognition of Bedford Lions Club members that have made significant contributions to Lionism.”

Kamryn Puccetti — Dr. Herbert Moyer Scholarship
Aaron Majewski — Ronald F. Hershberger Scholarship
Landon Vigh — Horace “Lynn” Lindecker Scholarship
Lillian Landolt — Duane “Dewey” Hall Scholarship
Kellen Gandee — PDG John Dioroch Scholarship
Samuel Durivage —Bill Paul Scholarship
Isaac Haas — Ed Zeiler Scholarship
