Battle Creek Field of Flight brings summer thrills

Field of Flight excitement is coming to the skies of Battle Creek July 1-5 as America celebrates 250 years.

Field of Flight spectators can enjoy air shows of military and civilian aircraft, a twilight and night air show, fireworks, concerts, a carnival, and hot air balloon launches. All events are weather permitting and held at the Battle Creek Executive Airport.

Air Show lineup: July 2-5

Balloons

There will be morning and evening flights and two Balloon Illumes as long as conditions are safe.

“Balloon Night Illumes – as dusk falls over Battle Creek Executive Airport, some MAGICAL ILLUMINATIONS begin. During our ‘Balloon Illumes’ the launch field will be lit up with the glowing burners of over 20 Hot-Air Balloons. This ‘picture-perfect’ site, is something that you won’t want to miss and will become one of your favorite family memories forever,” according to the Field of Flight website.

Carnival

Field of Rock

There will be live music every night of the festival.

Firework and drone shows

There will be firework shows at dusk Wednesday, July 1 and Saturday, July 4.

A drone show is scheduled for 10:!5 p.m. Thursday, July 2.
