History: This Detroit-born talent is a hip-hop artist and also a filmmaker and mentor. Keem the Franchize lists LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco and Royce Da 5’9″ as his influences. He’s a survivor of stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and his live show offers a positive message about overcoming adversity.

The latest: Keem the Franchize performs July 15 at the Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward in Ferndale. The show is a fundraiser in partnership with MATIO — Kids Kicking Cancer. Guests can have opportunities to learn more about the organization at the show.
