With Memorial Day come and gone, summer is officially kicking off in Northern Michigan. That means more fun activities happening during the week!
Here’s what we recommend this week:
Make a difference with Impact100 LTB
Impact100 LTB, a women’s group focused on providing funding for grants in Emmet and Charlevoix counties, is hosting a May Sip & Socialize event from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at Torch Lake Gallery in Bay Harbor.
The connection event kicks off the group’s summer season. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and there is no fee to attend.

Enjoy “The Sound of Music” at LSSU
Lake Superior State University is hosting a special performance of “The Sound of Music Jr.” on Wednesday, May 27 performed by the Bay City Academy.
There will be two shows at the LSSU Arts Center, an 11 a.m. matinee and another at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to support the Bay City Academy Drama Department.

Join the “Eerie Excursion”
Castle Farms in Charlevoix is hosting an “Eerie Excursion” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27.
The spooky evening includes a guided tour of Castle Farms, including a look into the history of the Loeb family and stories from past rock concerts. Guests will also hear about paranormal phenomena reported on the premises.

Rock out with Big Water Creative Arts
Big Water Creative Arts will host the 2026 Student Showcase on Thursday, May 28. The event features performances by the organization’s Jazz Combo Band and Rock Jam students from across Northern Michigan.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted at the door.

Check out the Cheboygan Photography Show
The Cheboygan Photography Club will have their best pieces on display from May 26-June 16 at the Cheboygan Area Public Library.
Photos will be available to browse in the lower level gallery during regular library hours.
