Kathie Lee Gifford lists waterfront Connecticut estate for $100 million. See inside

Former host of NBC’s “Today” show, Kathie Lee Gifford, is selling her 13,163-square-foot Connecticut home for $100 million, according to the real estate listing from Leslie McElwreath of Sotheby’s International Realty Greenwich Brokerage.

According to the listing, Gifford’s home is located less than an hour from Manhattan and only minutes away from the Westchester County Airport. Gifford, who is now living in Nashville, told PEOPLE Magazine that she would make the 40-minute commute to New York City every morning when she was on the “Today” show.

Gifford bought the home, nicknamed Cedar Cliff, with her late husband, Frank Gifford, in 1994, according to PEOPLE. She told the magazine that since her husband died in 2015, she began spending more time in Nashville until she moved there permanently in 2019. She said she is selling the home because she is ready to make new memories.

“The years went on, and my children had moved, the house that had once seemed so full of life and of laughter and of music had suddenly gone silent to me,” Gifford told PEOPLE.

Here is what to know about Gifford’s massive 13,163-square-foot Connecticut home that she put on the market.

Location

Cedar Cliff is located on a 2.91-acre gated peninsula on a private road within Riverside, Connecticut’s Indian Head Association. The real estate listing says it has around 1,250 feet of direct waterfrontage. It is on the grounds of the former compound of the railroad magnate Henry Francis Shoemaker.

About the property

Gifford’s Connecticut home has eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and five half-baths. All eight bedrooms, according to the listing, have waterfront views. The home has a three-level elevator and a professional recording studio.

Cedar Cliff’s East Wing, which the listing states was constructed in the early 2000’s, has a primary suite with a private balcony. Along with the suite, the East Wing includes a custom-built office, a wine cellar, and a private home theater that seats up to 20 people.

Outside, the home has multiple stone terraces, one with a bluestone bar overlooking Greenwich Cove. The waterfront includes a stone pier and a deep-water dock. Along the water, there is a tennis court with a pergola, an in-ground pool and spa and a cabana with a fitness center, a kitchenette, a full bathroom and changing rooms.
