Missing New York man found dead in Otsego County woods, State Police say

A man who was reported missing last month was found dead in a wooded area in Otsego County, according to New York State Police.

The body of Daniel E. Conklin, 38, was found Monday, Aug. 3, in a wooded area off State Highway 205 in the town of Laurens, according to State Police.

Conklin was reported missing in July

Conklin was reported missing after he was last seen walking along State Highway 205 near the Mirabito gas station in Laurens on July 14.

Investigation continues

State Police are investigating Conklin’s disappearance and death.

His cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
