4th of July highlights: Where to watch fireworks this holiday weekend

Get ready for a weekend full of fireworks as communities across the Blue Water Area celebrate Independence Day with sky-high displays. Here’s a roundup of where and when to watch fireworks:

Algonac

Held during the 87th Algonac Lions Pickerel Tournament, this show is sponsored by the Algonac Lions Club.

Lexington

Celebrate Independence Day with a lakeside show. The fun continues Saturday at 11 a.m. with a downtown parade.

Port Sanilac

Watch fireworks over the harbor on Lake Huron. Kick off the day with a parade starting at 2 p.m., lining up at St. Mary’s.

St. Clair

Presented by American Fireworks, the show can be viewed from Palmer Park and the renovated boardwalk. Parking is available along Riverside Avenue and at St. Clair Riverview Plaza.

Whether you’re heading to the beach, relaxing in the park or just looking for some classic Fourth of July fun there’s a fireworks show nearby ready to light up your night.
