NASCAR is coming to Michigan this weekend, with the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Brooklyn’s Michigan International Speedway on June 7 up next on the Cup Series schedule.
What you need to know about the 2026 FireKeepers Casino 400
This will be NASCAR’s only trip to Michigan this season. The three-day race weekend will be headlined by the NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday, along with the ARCA Menards Series running on Friday and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing on Saturday.
All three races — the Henry Ford Health 200 (ARCA), DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 (Truck) and FireKeepers Casino 400 — will battle it out on the two-mile, D-shaped oval of MIS, which is regarded as one of the sport’s fastest tracks.
Since opening in 1968, Michigan International Speedway has hosted over 100 Cup Series races. The track held two Cup Series events annually from 1969-2020 until the schedule was reduced to a single race per year starting in 2021.
Denny Hamlin won last year’s NASCAR Cup Series race, passing William Byron with four laps to go to earn his first win at MIS since 2011.
