[Port Huron, MI] – February 5, 2026 – Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) proudly presented a $10,000 donation to the United Way of St. Clair County in support of programs that strengthen health, education, and financial stability throughout the local community.
The donation reflects Lake Huron Medical Center’s continued commitment to investing in the well-being of the communities it serves. Funds were raised through employee-led initiatives and company-wide fundraising efforts.

The donation was presented to Megan Simmons, State Farm Insurance Agent and Liz King, Director of the St. Clair County Health Department, who served as this year’s United Way of St. Clair County co-chairs, along with Sharon Wilton, Executive Director of United Way of St. Clair County. Representing Lake Huron Medical Center are Chris Fulks, Interim Chief Executive Officer, and Anish Sheth, Chief Nursing Officer, joined by hospital leadership and
staff.
“Supporting United Way aligns with our mission to care for our community beyond the walls of our hospital,” said Fulks. “This donation represents the generosity and dedication of our employees and our shared commitment to making a meaningful difference for individuals and families throughout St. Clair County.”
Wilton expressed appreciation for Lake Huron Medical Center’s continued partnership and support, noting the impact the donation will have on programs addressing critical community needs. Simmons and King also expressed their gratitude for the hospital’s commitment to the community.
The check presentation highlights the strong collaboration between Lake Huron Medical Center and community partners working together to create lasting, positive change in the region.
