The St. Clair County Health Department (SCCHD) has released a draft fluoride addition regulation for public review and comment. The proposed regulation is available online at scchealth.co and in print at the SCCHD office, 220 Fort Street, Port Huron, Michigan during regular business hours.
A public hearing on the proposed regulation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners’ Room (2nd Floor) at 200 Grand River Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan. Members of the public will be given an opportunity to provide comments during the hearing. No action to approve the proposed regulation will be taken at that time.
Written comments may be submitted in person, by mail, or by email to healthdept@stclaircounty.org. Comments should be sent to the St. Clair County Health Department, 220 Fort Street, Port Huron, MI 48060, and must be received before or at the public hearing to be considered.
At least 20 days after the public hearing, the proposed regulation will be submitted to the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners for consideration. The version presented to the Board may be amended based on public input received during the review process. If approved, the regulation will take effect 45 days after approval unless the Board establishes a different effective date.
