US stocks open higher, spotlight on Fed

June 17 (Reuters) – The main U.S. stock indexes opened higher on Wednesday, as chip stocks rebounded ahead of the first interest rate decision under new Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.

At 09:30 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 11.12 points, or 0.02%, to 52,010.79, the S&P 500 gained 8.44 points, or 0.11%, to 7,519.79 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 113.22 points, or 0.43%, to 26,489.56.
