Green Bay man sentenced in fatal shooting during drug deal, robbery

A Green Bay man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the fatal August 2024 shooting of Brandon Ramirez, which four others are also charged in.

Darian Pinchart, 20, of Green Bay, pleaded no contest March 27 to felony murder as a party to a crime and possessing a firearm as an adjudicated delinquent. A conspiracy to commit armed robbery charge was dismissed through a plea agreement.

Pinchart was sentenced June 15 by Brown County Circuit Court Judge Samantha Wagner to 15 years in prison followed by 10 years on extended supervision, according to court records.

Pinchart was originally charged with first-degree intentional homicide, but the charge was reduced to felony murder through the plea agreement. Elijah White, 20; Dion Richardson Jr., 19; and Nigel White, 23, all of Green Bay, were also charged with first-degree intentional homicide, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Prosecutors reduced the first-degree intentional homicide charge against Nigel White to felony murder as a party to a crime, according to court records. Nigel White also faces four bail jumping charges and Richardson is charged with one count of bail jumping.

Rosemary Williams, 19, of Kewaunee, was charged with felony murder as a party to a crime, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Ramirez died Aug. 9, 2024, from a gunshot wound to the head. He was dropped off at a hospital on Aug. 7, 2024, following a shooting in the 1200 block of Berner Street. Prosecutors said the shooting occurred during a drug-deal-turned-robbery, according to criminal complaints.

In interviews with investigators, the suspects gave differing accounts of the incident, the complaints showed. According to a complaint, interview room footage showed Pinchart talking out loud to himself while alone in the room. He stated several times that he didn’t do anything and that he was being blamed for something someone else did, the complaint said.

Williams returns to court Aug. 7 for a status conference. Nigel White is scheduled to stand trial beginning Aug. 5. Elijah White returns for a plea hearing June 19. Richardson is scheduled to stand trial beginning July 20.
