There have been several transfers in Sarasota and Manatee counties ahead of the 2026 high school football season.
The Herald-Tribune has tracked 37 transfers since last season ended, from superstars to underclassmen looking to make a name for themselves.

Here’s who has transferred schools since the end of the 2025 season:
Sirdarrean Allen
Old school: Manatee
New school: Palmetto
Analysis: Allen is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound junior wide receiver. He has five offers from Louisville, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, East Carolina and UConn.
Maurice Bell
Old school: Booker
New school: Southeast
Analysis: Bell is a 5-foot-9, 172-pound sophomore athlete.
Zach Bonisch
Old school: Parrish Community
New school: Saint Stephen’s
Analysis: Bonisch is a senior linebacker who had 122 tackles and three sacks in 2025.
Jordan Booker
Old school: Booker
New school: Venice
Analysis: Booker is a three-star senior cornerback who finished his junior season with 40 tackles, three tackles for loss, five interceptions, one pass breakup and one forced fumble. He’s comitted to Georgia State.
Mylin Brown
Old school: Booker
New school: Cardinal Mooney
Analysis: Brown is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound athlete who can play at multiple positions. He’s a sophomore.
Mykell Crawford
Old school: Booker
New school: Sarasota
Analysis: Crawford is a sophomore lineman who can play on both sides of the ball at 6-foot-1, 230 pounds.
Deno Dalacas
Old school: Hamilton (Arizona)
New school: Manatee
Analysis: Dalacas is a 6-foot, 180-pound senior wide receiver. During his junior season, Dalacas recorded 855 yards and 12 touchdowns on 40 receptions, ending the year with 1,105 all-purpose yards. He had 17 offers, including ones from Tulane, UConn, East Carolina, Liberty, UPenn and Cornell.
Landon Dean
Old school: Sarasota
New school: Cardinal Mooney
Analysis: Dean is a 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior tight end with six Division I offers. He had 135 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions last season.
Nolan Downes
Old school: IMG Academy
New school: Manatee
Analysis: Downes is a 6-foot, 190 pounds sophomore, who threw for 2,175 yards, 26 touchdowns and two interceptions last season. He completed 57 percent of his passes.
Ashton Fischer
Old school: Parrish Community
New school: Saint Stephen’s
Analysis: Fischer is a senior wide receiver/defensive back combo who had four receiving touchdowns in 2025.
Kaleb Exume
Old school: Parrish Community
New school: Cardinal Mooney
Analysis: Exume is a three-star defensive lineman committed to Boston College, standing 6-foot-3, 310 pounds. He had 78 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, three pass breakups and three forced fumbles.
Jayvian Hoffmann

New school: Venice
Analysis: Hoffmann is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound junior wide receiver.
Jarrel Johnson

Analysis: Johnson is a senior offensive tackle/guard. He’s 6-foot-4, 300 pounds.
Jaylon Jones

Analysis: Jones is a junior wide receiver. He’s 6-foot-2, 160 pounds.
Desi Kmit

Analysis: Kmit will likely start at outside linebacker this season. He’s a 5-foot-8, 172-pound junior.
Felly Kmit

Analysis: Kmit is a 6-foot, 204-pound junior middle linebacker who will start for Venice this season.
Steven LeBlanc

New school: Saint Stephen’s
Analysis: LeBlanc is a dual-threat quarterback entering his sophomore season.
Maleek Lee
Old school: Booker
New school: Palmetto
Analysis: In 2025, the Georgia Tech pledge led the 12-2 Tornadoes with 69 tackles and 39 tackles for loss. Lee is a four-star defensive lineman with 29 offers, ranked as the 44th best recruit in Florida.
Zion Lee
Old school: Booker
New school: Palmetto
Analysis: In 2025, the 6-foot-3, 300 pound tackle recorded 19 total tackles, seven solo tackles and one sack.
Jekhi Mills
Old school: Booker
New school: Riverview
Analysis: Mills is a 5-foot-8, 170 pound senior linebacker who had 19 total tackles, 14 solo tackles, one tackle for loss and 1.5 sacks last season.
Tylor Morton
Old school: Booker
New school: Southeast
Analysis: Morton is a senior linebacker who had 48 total tackles, 31 solo tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Noah Patton
Old school: IMG Academy
New school: Venice
Analysis: Patton is a 6-foot-3, 190 pound quarterback with seven offers, including ones from Arizona State, Minnesota, Kentucky and Arkansas.
Mike Peterson
Old school: Booker
New school: Riverview
Analysis: Peterson is a running back/wide receiver who is entering his senior season.
Ricky Platt
Old school: Booker
New school: Sarasota
Analysis: Platt is a sophomore defensive end.
Darrious Pompey

Analysis: Pompey is a senior defensive lineman, standing 6-foot-1, 320 pounds.
Tavares Powell
Old school: Southeast
New school: Manatee
Analysis: Powell is a three-star Kansas commit who is 6-foot-1, 181 pounds. Last season, he had 488 receiving yards for nine touchdowns on 42 receptions. He added 67 rushing yards on 18 attempts for six touchdowns. He has offers to Wisconsin, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pitt and USF.
Trey Rodrigues

New school: Riverview
Analysis: Rodrigues is a 6-foot-4, 370-pound lineman entering his sophomore season.m
Nate Rodriguez
Old school: Booker
New school: Venice
Analysis: Rodriguez is a 5-foot-10, 240-pound defensive tackle.
Dylan Sanchez
Old school: Booker
New school: Sarasota
Analysis: Sanchez is a 5-foot-7, 160-pound junior outside linebacker.
Jared Sanders
Old school: Manatee
New school: Cardinal Mooney
Analysis: Sanders is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound defensive back, who had 10 pass breakups, 37 tackles and four tackles for loss last season.
Nate Schueller
Old school: Parrish Community
New school: Saint Stephen’s
Analysis: Schueller is a wide receiver/linebacker who had 46 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season. The senior has two offers from Division III schools.
Treyshawn Scrivens
Old school: Booker
New school: Riverview
Analysis: Scrivens is a sophomore outside linebacker who saw limited game time last season. In three games, he recorded one tackle.
Kymani Sellers
Old school: Booker
New school: Palmetto
Analysis: Sellers is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound linebacker who had 32 tackles, 25 solo tackles, 5.5 sacks and 23 quarterback hurries last season. He has three offers to North Carolina, Shorter and Wofford.
Mason Summer
Old school: Booker
New school: Southeast
Analysis: Summer transferred to Booker in the offseason, never playing a snap with the Torandoes. During his junior season at Manatee, the quarterback threw for 994 yards and 11 touchdowns, completing 62 percent of his passes. He’s 6-foot-2, 225 pounds.
Imari Thomas
Old school: Booker
New school: Cardinal Mooney
Analysis: Thomas is a senior who can play at both wide receiver and free safety. He’s 6-foot-1, 165 pounds.
Kobran Waters
Old school: Booker
New school: Riverview
Analysis: Waters is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound senior wide receiver. Last season, he recorded 303 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 18 receptions. Waters also added 139 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.
Julian Wilcom
Old school: IMG Academy
New school: Sarasota
Analysis: Wilcom is a 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver/cornerback entering his junior season.
Cameron Williams
Old school: Booker
New school: Bayshore
Analysis: Williams is a junior defensive end who had 20 total tackles, nine solo tackles, three sacks and five quarterback hurries last season.
