Celebrate National Caviar Day with Naples' newest luxury bite

With National Caviar Day arriving July 18, Naples diners looking to celebrate the luxury delicacy have a new way to indulge ― and it comes on wheels.

Gourmet Chariot, a recently-launched mobile caviar and Champagne experience, aims to provide Southwest Florida with an approachable way to enjoy one of the world’s most coveted foods. The Naples-based concept debuted earlier this year, offering premium caviar, Champagne and charcuterie service at weddings, private parties, and community events throughout Southwest Florida. Founder Nisha Singh said the goal is to take caviar beyond the white-tablecloth setting and turn it into an interactive and fun experience that feels welcoming rather than ritzy.

The cherry red mobile cart serves curated caviar flights, traditional caviar bumps, and rotating specialty bites, all paired with Champagne or wine.

“I wanted to take caviar out of the formality of fine dining and into everyday moments of celebration, where it belongs,” Singh said in a news release announcing Gourmet Chariot’s launch.

To celebrate National Caviar Day, Gourmet Chariot is debuting a new appetizer called “The Midas Stick.” The playful creation features a fried mozzarella stick topped with Ossetra caviar, fresh chives, and a 24-karat edible gold leaf.

“The Midas Stick captures Gourmet Chariot’s philosophy perfectly: take something familiar, add a touch of luxury and create a moment guests can’t stop talking about,” Singh said. “Caviar should be fun, approachable and just a little over the top.”

Locals can book the luxury food cart by visiting the Gourmet Chariot’s website (gourmetchariot.com) and submitting a private inquiry.

The launch of “The Midas Stick” comes as caviar continues to gain popularity beyond traditional fine dining settings. Though it was once reserved primarily for formal occasions, the delicacy has increasingly appeared in creative dishes and casual formats.

If you’re looking for places to celebrate National Caviar Day this year, we’ve rounded up several local restaurants offering caviar experiences in Naples. From casual, playful bites to traditional upscale experiences, here’s where you can find the delicacy around town.

Where to get caviar in Naples

Bicyclette Cookshop gives caviar a playful twist. The North Naples restaurant, led by James Beard-semifinalist Kayla Pfeiffer, serves its caviar with an unexpected accompaniment: Bugles and crème fraîche. The $22 snack reflects Bicyclette’s approach to dining: familiar ingredients reimagined with a chef-driven touch. (819 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples; 239-514-3333; bicyclettecookshop.com)

HB’s at Naples Beach Club offers signature cocktails, coastal cuisine and beautiful sunset views over the Gulf.
