Search underway after reported drowning at popular New York state park

A search is underway after a reported drowning Tuesday afternoon at Fair Haven State Park in Cayuga County.

New York State Police said troopers responded to Fair Haven State Park in the village of Fair Haven at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, after receiving a report of a drowning in Little Sodus Bay.

Authorities have not released information about the person involved.

Search efforts are ongoing and involve several local, state and federal agencies, including:

Members of the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation are also assisting at the scene.
