Second half property tax bills in Stark County will be due Aug. 21 following a delay due to the implementation of a new tax relief measure.
Second half real estate tax bills will be mailed around July 20, according to Stark County Chief Deputy Treasurer Deana Stafford.
If homeowners do not wish to wait for the bills to come in the mail, they can also download a copy on the Stark County Real Estate Search website.
Tax bills have now been updated to include the new inflation cap credit enacted by that state legislature in Ohio House Bill 186. Only homeowners in school districts that are at the 20-mill floor limitation will see the credit on their bill.
Homeowners within Canton City Schools, North Canton City Schools, Lake Local Schools and Plain Local will not receive the credit, according to the Treasurer’s Office.
Additional property tax measurers passed by the state legislature, such as the expanded credit for those that qualify for Homestead Exemption, are not in affect yet. Qualifying homeowners will see those changes in future billing cycles.

How to download your property tax bill online
Here are step-by-step instructions from the Stark County Treasurer’s Office to download your property tax bill online. Homeowners can also wait to receive their bills in the mail.
Step 1: Visit the Stark County real estate section search via the Auditor’s or Treasurer’s website: Real Estate Search.
Step 2: You will need to agree to the disclaimer statement.
Step 3: Once you click “Agree,” you will be directed to the “Basic Search” page to locate your parcel.
Step 4: Enter ONLY the “Parcel ID” number (ie 123456 or 10010010) and click the “Search” button. (TIP: “LESS IS MORE” WHEN COMPLETING THESE FIELDS)
