Warrick County officials are investigating the deaths of two people in what Sheriff Mike Wilder characterized as a potential “double suicide or murder-suicide.”
“However, it is important to note that our assessment may evolve as we gather additional information through the investigation,” he said in a statement to the Courier & Press Tuesday.
Authorities discovered the two people, who haven’t been publicly identified, deceased in a residence near the area of Oak Grove Road. Wilder didn’t share when exactly they were found. He said the sheriff’s office isn’t seeking any outside suspects.
“We do not perceive any immediate threat or danger to the broader community,” he said.
The sheriff’s office hadn’t issued an official news release of Tuesday afternoon, and no identifications had come from the Warrick County coroner’s office.
This is a developing story.
