The Florida State Seminoles still have plenty of work to do in the 2027 recruiting cycle, but they are also working to get a good jump on the 2028 class. They already have one commitment in three-star athlete Chayse Brown, giving them a good starting point.
One area they are hoping to address early is quarterback, which will allow them to sell other top prospects on who they can play with. One of their top targets is Chandler Dyson, a four-star prospect from Warner Robins, Georgia. While it is early, Chad Simmons of Rivals really likes where FSU stands in his recruitment, naming them the early favorite.
“They acted like they loved me,” Chandler told Simmons. “The coaches were excited for me to be there and fired up the whole time. They really showed my parents they wanted me there, and they believe I could be a starter if I went there.”
Dyson is ranked as the No. 152 overall player and No. 10 quarterback in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 21 player from Georgia.
While FSU is in a good spot with Dyson, they have plenty of competetion. He already has over a dozen scholarship offers from programs across the country, including the LSU Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Nebraska Cornhuskers. It will be important for FSU to keep pressing their advantage and get him back on campus as frequently as possible during the season.
