NBA insiders reveal other possible suitors for Houston's Josh Okogie

The Houston Rockets have a handful of key free agents this summer, veteran swingman Josh Okogie being one of them. Although Okogie didn’t offer much scoring for Houston last season, his hustle, defense and durability were much needed. Throughout the year, he averaged 4.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.8 steals. Additionally, Okogie exceeded expectations from beyond the arc, converting on 38.5% of 3-point attempts, a career high mark.

For that reason, the Rockets may have competition in retaining the former Georgia Tech product. According to The Stein Line, the Indiana Pacers are monitoring Okogie as a free agent option to supplement Tyrese Haliburton in their backcourt. If he were to depart, Okogie’s absence would certainly be felt by the Rockets, especially considering his impact relative to his minimum contract.
