According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, authorities and the Bloomfield Police Department, responded to a report of an upside-down kayak on the lake around 3:30 p.m. and discovered Sater floating nearby unresponsive.

The kayak was about 150 yards off the lakeshore when a water rescue team recovered Sater, who was wearing a life jacket. He was pronounced dead around 4:53 p.m.

Lake Ivanhoe is in Walworth County, which is about 45 miles southwest of Milwaukee.

The June 25 death follows the drowning of an 18-year-old man from Pewaukee, who had fallen overboard from a boat in Lake Okauchee.
