WFRV-TV has a new meteorologist, and she’s well-acquainted with Wisconsin weather.
Kenosha native Tessa O’Brien joined the CBS affiliate in Green Bay June 15. She made her on-air debut during the noon newscast June 25.
Her arrival comes shortly after the departure of meteorologist Ryan Kudish, who did the weather for the noon and 4 p.m. newscasts Monday through Thursday and also appeared Sundays. After three years at the station, his last day was June 4. He told viewers he was returning to his home state of Rhode Island to be closer to family.
O’Brien is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin. She interned last year at WPSD-TV in Paducah, Kentucky.
Her interests include fishing, playing guitar, biking, singing, volleyball and softball, according to her station bio. She’s also a Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
