As the Warriors await LeBron James’ decision this summer, the front office is focused on adding effective free agents for the right price. While they’ve been linked to guards like Anfernee Simons, Collin Sexton and Brandon Williams, NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer indicated another frontcourt free agent option.
According to The Stein Line, the Warriors are among the teams expected to pursue Australian center Jock Landale. In extended minutes last season, the 30-year-old averaged career-high numbers, including 10.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.5 steals. He also showed an ability to space the floor, knocking down 38.3% of his 3-point attempts. Playing on a contract worth just $2.2 million last season, Landale would certainly be a steal at that price. While he may command a larger deal than that, his market should still be within Golden State’s price range.
