In a 2027 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Network, the New York Giants execute a trade that nets additional draft capital while positioning them to select Ohio State offensive guard Austin Siereveld at No. 13 overall.
Following trades involving the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, the Giants land one of the top interior linemen in the class. Siereveld, who has played both tackle and guard for the Buckeyes, brings versatility to the OL.
Following an array of projected trades, the New York Giants find themselves with more draft capital and the ability to still land the top offensive guard in the draft: Ohio State’s Austin Siereveld.
Playing both tackle and guard for the Buckeyes, Siereveld will bring a foundational IQ to any offensive line he’s drafted to. Last season, he put up a PFN OL Impact grade of 83.9 and didn’t allow a single sack in pass protection.
After selecting Francis Mauigoa in the 2026 NFL Draft, perhaps New York will double down on another versatile lineman to help build a strong foundation on the offensive line.
This move aligns with the Giants’ ongoing efforts to bolster their offensive line. Having selected Francis Mauigoa in the 2026 NFL draft, where he is currently developing at right guard, the team appears committed to building depth and versatility along the front.
With Jon Runyan Jr.’s contract set to expire, addressing left guard becomes a priority heading into 2027.
The selection of Siereveld would provide the Giants with another foundational piece capable of contributing immediately, further strengthening protection for the quarterback and creating a more robust interior line for the future.
This strategic trade-down approach would allow New York to accumulate assets while targeting high-value talent at a position of need.
