The Texas Tech softball team has landed another former All-American. Former FSU third baseman Jaysoni Beachum has committed to the Lady Raiders out of the transfer portal, announcing the news Thursday on social media.
She was the top uncommitted player in the portal and is the third top-five player to commit to Texas Tech. She is entering her senior season and was the NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year in 2024. After the new eligibility changes by the NCAA, she will have two seasons to play in Lubbock.
Beachum hit .406 with 10 home runs, 13 doubles, and 69 RBI in 2026. She was named First Team All-ACC and a Second Team All-American by Softball America. She is a two-time All-American and two-time All-ACC player.
She is ranked as the No. 3 overall player and No. 1 corner infielder in the transfer portal by Softball America.
Beachum ended her FSU career with a .375 batting average, 37 home runs, 35 doubles, 180 RBI, 158 runs scored, and 202 hits. She has a .654 slugging percentage and a .492 on-base percentage. She also plays excellent defense at third, where she has a career fielding percentage of .956.
The Lady Raiders have now landed the No. 2, No. 3, No. 8, and No. 12 transfers as they look to win their first national championship after back-to-back runner-up finishes. They have added seven transfers in total, once again securing one of the top classes in the country.
