A former teacher in Charlevoix County is facing 10 felony charges related to child sexual abuse.
The Charlevoix County Prosecutor’s Office announced in a news release Thursday, June 25, Trenton Cole Sulak, 31, is facing charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, second-degree criminal sexual conduct, aggravated distribution of child sexually abusive material and aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material.
The news release declined to elaborate on the reason or evidence behind the charges against Sulak, citing concern for the privacy and identities of the victims involved. Charlevoix County Prosecutor Christopher Tholen said Sulak previously taught at Concord Academy of Petoskey.
“If any person has information about Sulak that may relate to the charges or an inappropriate relationship between Sulak and any child, please contact the East Jordan Police Department at (231) 536-2273 or the Charlevoix County Sheriffs Office at (231) 547-4461,” Tholen wrote in the news release.
An arraignment is scheduled for Friday, June 26 in the 90th Circuit Court.
