Meet the country’s newest millionaire, and that individual is right in our backyard.
According to the office of The Florida Lottery, Christopher Trail of Ocklawaha was awarded his $10 million from a drawing held March 11 at their Tallahassee building on March 18.
The ticket was sold at the Circle K, 10030 County Road 44 in Leesburg.
Trail is 51, lottery officials said.
Lottery authorities said more than 158 million winning tickets equaling greater than $4.07 billion in prizes, which includes 17 jackpot winners. Officials said “Since joining Powerball in 2009, the game has generated more than $3.37 billion in contributions to education statewide.”
Interested in joining Trail in being the next millionaire? The next Powerball drawing is at 10:59 p.m. June 27, and the estimated jackpot is $348 million, officials said. You must purchase your ticket by 10 p.m. for the grand prize.
