Michigan State's Jaxon Kohler agrees to deal with the Utah Jazz

Jaxon Kohler is heading home to Utah. Shortly after the 2026 NBA Draft, Kohler, the first Michigan State basketball player from Utah, signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Utah Jazz, getting an opportunity to show the NBA what he can do and head back to his home state.

Kohler, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound power forward, developed into a lethal three-point shooter after starting his career as a traditional post big. Along with his shot, Kohler still has amazing footwork and touch out of the post, and he is an elite rebounder.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, non-guaranteed contract that allows teams to bring in players they are interested in to training camp. Kohler will also presumably suit up for the Jazz’s NBA Summer League squad, which runs from July 3 to July 19.

Kohler isn’t the only former Spartan big man to find a landing spot at the next level, as fellow Spartan big man Carson Cooper signed a two-way deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.
