Pictured is the No. 10 steam engine running on the T.P.C. and L. interurban line down the center of Water Street in Oak Harbor. The photograph was taken August 28, 1904.
Passengers, seated on flat cars, are on their way to a baseball excursion in Port Clinton. Fare was 35 cents. The interurban line, which was built to steam specifications, was used by the larger engines. This excursion was the last time a steam engine was used on interurban tracks through Oak Harbor.
The photograph is part of the collection at the Oak Harbor Public Library, Local History and Museum Center, 147 W. Main St., Oak Harbor.
Area museums and libraries have been invited to submit photographs for History Spotlight.
