Is X down? Former Twitter site users report outages

Hang on to that funny meme or biting political comment. More than 26,000 users reported that X, formerly Twitter, was having issues this morning. It’s back up as of 10:15 a.m. ET.

Downdetector.com started receiving thousands of reports just before 10 a.m. Monday, June 22. By 10:10, the site was loading the logo and menu, but no content, although direct links to specific X accounts still worked.

Some users reported being signed out of accounts, 9to5mac.com reported, noting that Downdetector also showed complaints about other services such as Reddit, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Fortnite, among others.

About half of the X complaints were about the X app. Downdetector reported, with 30% citing problems with the feed and timeline, and 15% with the desktop website.

Downdetector also saw users reporting issues, although not as many, starting at noon Sunday.

No explanation has been provided for the outages.
