Dolphins TE named as the biggest surprise of Miami's offseason program

The Miami Dolphins had a slew of players hitting free agency this offseason and decided to bring back eight of them for the 2026 season, including tight end Greg Dulcich.

Dulcich, 26, played at UCLA for four years, earning All-Pac-12 honors twice, before the Denver Broncos took him in the third round (No. 80 overall) of the 2022 NFL draft. After stints with the Broncos and New York Giants, he signed with the Dolphins in 2025.

Last year, he appeared in 10 games and caught 26 passes for 335 yards and one touchdown, which was a strong enough performance to earn another contract in South Florida this offseason.

On Monday, ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques gave Dulcich his flowers for his work over the offseason as a player who unexpectedly stood out.

“Dolphins fans might remember Dulcich’s late-season contributions, but he has emerged this spring as one of the primary targets in Miami’s passing game,” Louis-Jacques wrote. “Quarterback Malik Willis has an entirely new group of skill players to build chemistry with, but during team drills, there was clear trust in Dulcich, who was one of the best tight ends in the league last season at making plays after the catch. He returned from injured reserve in Week 8 and finished the season averaging the second-most yards after catch per reception (7.6) in that span.”

Miami brought Dulcich back to be the team’s top tight end in 2026, with Ben Sims and rookie Will Kacmarek fighting for the second spot behind him. It’s unlikely that Dulcich will be one of the top tight ends in the league this year, but he could be a serviceable player who could benefit from playing in Bobby Slowik’s offense.
