Flynn Road housing development delayed for more review

A Greece housing development will need another trip before the planning board before receiving preliminary plat approval.

Stream Song Estates would construct 71 single-family homes on 32 acres of a 59-acre property along Flynn Road. The condensed layout is intended to maintain the natural buffer around the new homes, built in five phases.

Residents voiced concerns at the June 17 meeting about access to the property, increased traffic and high speeds on Flynn Road and a proposed stub connection to Latta Road to enable future development on an adjacent property. One speaker suggested aligning one of the two entrances on Flynn Road with Old Country Road, but the applicant, 1053 Flynn, LLC, said they’d been told to stagger them.

The developer purchased the property in August 2024 for $1.1 million.

A preliminary plat is the conceptual layout for a subdivision, including the location of roads, lots, utilities like sidewalks and areas to be preserved as open space. The next Greece Planning Board meeting is Wednesday, July 8.
