From the water to the stage and everywhere in between, the Daytona Beach area’s weekend calendar is shaping up to be a busy one.
High-energy outdoor concerts, guided kayak tours and a lively downtown festival filled with games, food and local vendors are among the many events drawing crowds across the Volusia – Flagler region.
So, whether you’re looking to embrace the outdoors, support local businesses or simply enjoy a few hours out of the house, there’s no shortage of options on tap. Here are five events to check out this weekend from New Smyrna up to Flagler Beach.
Creed, Aerosmith tributes ahead at Daytona Beach Bandshell
Central Florida’s own Human Clay, a Creed tribute band, and Jaded, an Aerosmith tribute band, will perform at the next Friday night concert at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
The concert, which is free, kicks off at 7:15 p.m. June 19 at the Bandshell at 70 Boardwalk Ave.
“Held every Friday evening from June through August, this oceanfront concert series brings together music lovers of all ages to enjoy high-energy performances by some of the nation’s best tribute bands and live acts all set against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean,” according to the event listing on the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau’s website.
While general admission is free, fans can purchase VIP reserved tickets for $15, with a seat included. Concertgoers can bring their own chairs to the general admission area. Parking is available at the Ocean Center parking lots and garage.

Summer kayak tour in Flagler Beach
Start the weekend with a kayak tour at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area in Flagler Beach.
The kayak tour takes place from 5 – 7 p.m. June 19 at the park, located at 3100 S. Ocean Shore Blvd.
Registration fees are priced at $20 for attendees ages 6-13 with an adult and $30 for attendees ages 14 and older. The fee is $20 per person for those ages 14 and older who bring their own kayak or vessel. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Gamble Rogers State Recreation Area.
The park entry fee is priced separately at $5 per vehicle with up to eight people, $4 for a single occupant vehicle, and $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists and “extra passengers in vehicle with holder of annual individual entrance pass.”
Space is limited, so guests are encouraged to call 386-517-2086 to reserve their spot.

Purple lights, celebration of Prince’s iconic music at MOAS
Another event promising a spectacle of (purple) lights and iconic rock music is set for this Saturday, June 20, at the The Brown, formerly the Museum of Arts & Sciences, in Daytona Beach.
The museum’s “Laser Rock Concerts” series is back this month at the Lowell and Nancy Lohman Family Planetarium to celebrate the music of legendary singer Prince.
“This immersive show fills the dome with incredible visuals inspired by Prince’s iconic sound and style,” the museum’s website says. “From funk and rock to pop and soul, this experience honors Prince’s groundbreaking creativity and lasting influence on music and culture.”
The show beings at 7 p.m., with an encore at 8 p.m. “Admission is $10 for non-museum members, while members can sign up for free.” Each presentation is sold separately.

Food, games and more at Seaside Fiesta Music Festival in NSB
At 4:24 a.m. on June 21, the summer solstice arrives. And in New Smyrna Beach, that’s an excuse to transform Flagler Avenue into the 38th annual Seaside Fiesta Music Festival.
For four evenings from 5 to 9 p.m., June 18-21, enjoy food, arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment, games and other family friendly activities. Musical acts will include Reed Foley at Flagler Tavern, 414 Flagler Ave., at 8:30 p.m., June 18, while the tavern will host a party tent with a DJ from 2 to 10 p.m. June 20.

Take a garden tour at the Lyonia Environmental Center
If you love native plants and want to learn how to grow them in your own yard, then plan to attend “Regrow Volusia: Plant Like Floridian Garden Tour and Reception” June 20 at the Lyonia Environmental Center, located at 2150 Eustace Ave. in Deltona.
A guided tour of the newly planted meadow garden and the other pollinator gardens will be provided to visitors from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Lyonia Center, according to event organizers.
The tour will be followed by a reception celebrating the new meadow garden, a collaborative project with the Deltona Regional Library, the Friends of Lyonia, and the Florida Wildflower Foundation.
“Come be inspired to bring the beauty and benefits of native plants to your own yard,” event promoters said. Admission is free for guests.
