Boone County 911 without power, calls being routed to Kenton County

Emergency calls to 911 in Boone County are being routed to a neighboring county because of a power outage, according to county officials.

Dispatch remains without power after severe storms struck Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati overnight June 18.

All 911 calls are being routed to Kenton County 911 dispatch. The county’s non-emergency line is completely down.

Officials ask residents to only call 911 with urgent life-safety matters as they work to restore service.

The outage was first reported by Enquirer media partner Fox 19 at 5:30 a.m. Dispatch remained offline as of 7 a.m.
