If you’re planning a Florida vacation this fall, Avelo Airlines says it plans to offer a cheap flight options to Lakeland and back to Michigan for travelers on a budget.
The Texas-based, low-cost airline is adding flight routes from Michigan from Lakeland, Florida, in November, including Detroit Metropolitan Airport in southeast Michigan’s Romulus, and Gerald R. Ford International Airport in west Michigan’s Grand Rapids.
Avelo Airlines offers seasonal flights between Detroit and Orlando/Lakeland, Florida and New Haven, Connecticut, according to its website.

What are Avelo’s new Michigan flight routes?
Here are flight routes Avelo will offer to and from Michigan airports and Lakeland, Florida:
Detroit (DTW): These flights aren’t offered until November, when Avelo plans to fly up to four days a week through December, then two or three days a week in January and two days a week through the end of February.
The Grand Rapids route also isn’t offered until November, and it’ll fly two days a week through March 1.
