While the NFL’s biggest narrative of the season has surrounded Myles Garrett’s recent trade to the Los Angeles Rams, another star pass rusher is making moves toward his return. News broke on Wednesday that Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons has a target return date for his ACL injury. With the Rams set to host the Packers on November 25, that game will serve as the NFL’s showcase contest for Thanksgiving Eve.
Parsons tore his ACL on December 14, 2025, while playing against the Denver Broncos. Packers reporter Rob Demovsky reported Wednesday that Parsons has four more months until he can return, placing a target date around September-October.
Demovsky also stated that Parsons stressed that he isn’t worried about coming back quickly or any time frame that would accelerate his recovery. Parsons has emphasized that his goal is to complete the season and be in a position to compete in the postseason.
Even with Parsons’ lack of concern for his own timeframe, should his rehabilitation process stay on schedule, he’s set to play against the Rams this season. With Garrett in Los Angeles, Thanksgiving Eve should serve as a showdown between the NFL’s top two pass rushers.
