Already flush with great options including Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar, El Camino, Two Fat Breggfast & Lunch, Mediterranean at Amar Sandwich Shop, and Brulé Gastro-Kitchen, Gabriella’s, Tropical Smokehouse, Delray Beach’s foodie paradise is adding two more restaurants to the scene.
One of Palm Beach County’s top dining destinations will welcome a new barbecue joint with Miami roots and a French-inspired café.
Drinking Pig BBQ
What started as a pop-up sensation has turned into a brick-and-mortar restaurant that has become a beacon of barbecue goodness in Miami. Described by many food critics and locals as “the best BBQ in Miami,” Drinking Pig BBQ’s chef Raheem Sealy is renowned for his fusion of slow-smoked Southern classics, including brisket, ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey and pork belly, and bold Caribbean flavors. Offering sides of smoked sweet potato, collard greens and coco bread along with island-inspired dishes such as Jamaican (brisket, spicy beef and jerk chicken) patties, this barbecue joint creates a powerful dining experience. Those amazing flavors will soon be available at Sundy Village in downtown Delray Beach, with a plan to open in September.

Maman
Founded in New York City by Elisa Marshall and Benjamin Sormonte, this beloved and Martha Stewart-approved chain is quickly expanding across South Florida. The French-inspired all-day café known for its soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, croissants and weekend brunch, have new restaurants planned for Boca Raton and Delray Beach. The Delray Beach location comes with a twist: “It’s a little house in the Sundy Village neighborhood,” Marshall said. “It will really standout from a design standpoint and charm… It looks like a cute beach house.”

Bourbon Steak
Located at The Seagate on Atlantic Avenue, this vision of James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur Michael Mina specializes in high-quality cuts of American beef, Kobe beef, and wagyu as well as fresh seafood and shellfish. The Seagate offerings feature USDA Prime, hormone-free beef that is hand-selected. “All of the steaks are slow poached in butter and then finished on a 900-degree wood-fired grill,” Mina said. Steak not your thing? The Maine lobster pot pie is a dish that is popular across all the Bourbon Steak properties, Mina said.

Barcelona Wine Bar
Barcelona was the first full-service restaurant to open at Sundy Village just off Atlantic Avenue. Executive chef Javier Narváez prints the menu daily and adjusts it as ingredients and seasons shift. While the lineup evolves, Barcelona keeps a reliable core of favorites in rotation, including jamón and Manchego croquetas, patatas bravas, boquerones and several paellas. Portions are meant for sharing, encouraging variety rather than excess. Their wine list is among the most ambitious in Palm Beach County, with more than 400 bottles and roughly 40 offered by the glass and prices that won’t make you wince.
